I just discovered "San Diego's first GAY THEMED podcast"!!
Huh. The site has been up only since January. The first podcast was in... erm... February.
Okay, so I was gay with a podcast (a gay themed podcast even!) and in San Diego in (believe it or not..) July of '06. Check! It's in the archives.. I'll wait. I even show up in Google on page 7 for "San Diego gay podcast". That's like 3 pages higher than this one.
Just sayin'.
Bah. What the hell do I care? I am a blogger first. I never really got a "show" going. I didn't even really try. Even tho I recorded 50 of the damn things. I don't even have a Listener Line. Or a microphone. I am not bitter. I swear. Anyhoo. I subscribed to the thing and am going to listen to a few. I'd link to it here but I don't want to seem bitchy about it. Really. It totally does not bother me.

Okay, so I took the sex poll off the top. I would still like you to go vote if you haven't already. It's interesting.
So last night was Kathy Griffin. It was awesome. I really like her, which as a gay I think I am 'supposed to' so it's fine. She talked about all my favorite celebs, YouTube, and the internet. All my favorite things really. I really wasn't expecting her to be on stage as long as she was. Actually I wasn't expecting her show to be like it was at all. I mean, when you think comedy you think like Comedy Central style, right? She was more like just a pal talking about her week. Her week was just a hell of a lot funnier than mine. What a great time! I can't wait until she comes to town again. I am so there!!
Anyway, after the show we kinda parted ways and started heading off to our cars. 2 of our group were in the same direction and we started walking together. We didn't stay walking together. Sometimes I think we all don't get along. Is that weird? Anyways, last night was like that even though it was really a blast. Like I said we didn't stay walking together. They just kept trotting along even after Richard said he needed to walk slower (he has been working like a million hours lately and is just sore). Catty remarks were made. I slowed down with Richard. Obviously we fell behind. Then we were a lot behind. Finally I was like 'screw this' and suggested we stay on Shelter Island while the mad rush to leave was going on. There were a lot of people out and the vibe was great. So we veered over towards a very tropical looking hotel thinking we'd have a quick drink while traffic died down. I think there is only the one way off the Island... So the hotel turned out to be a B!
est Western. LOL. At the bar there was an Australian gal drowning her sorrows over her fathers wedding the following day. She was there with friends, and apparently the whole family was staying there. It's a long dramatic story... Suffice it to say, she was a bit drunk. She also seemed to like Richard and I and kept trying to buy our drinks. Then she started buying tequila shots. For the whole bar. (I had no idea at the time, but Richard may have had one or two...) It turned out to be a pretty crazy night with all that we witnessed from our new friends and their family that eventually made it to the bar. Heh. I hope they all feel okay at the wedding. Alcohol is a very dangerous drug.
Anyhoo. I had to be up for work so we left the Aussies to their night of frolic at the Best Western and headed home.

It is going to be an action packed day! Yes, I work all day after my 2-11 PM yesterday. I got a solid 5 hours of sleep! Woo! So I am not energized.. Then I rush home, slip into something trendy yet warm(?) and go get a fast dinner. All because I am going to see Kathy Griffin tonight. Well worth all the rushing and lack of sleep, right?
I know. I am kinda excited about it... What will I wear? I want to buy something new but that seems so frivolous, what with gas prices what they are. We'll see. Anyone else got big plans this weekend? It is Mother's Day yanno...

I made a purchase. Tell me why I fell for it..
I was just reading some Apple related news and there was a post about Comic Life's new application Comic Life Magiq. It looks pretty fun, so I looked to see if I still had the Comic Life copy that came with my Mac. I did! Then I saw that I could qualify for the low price of 20 bucks (for a limited time!) as a 'crossgrade'. (I think that's a crossgrade because it is a separate application.) So I checked. Sure enough, I qualified! So here I am 20 bucks later downloading a new and fancy version of an application I have only used once before... What a chain of events!
Maybe I should do a weekly Comic Life Magiq post to justify this. I'll need to learn how to use it. I guess I should use the other version I have had once and a while too. Sigh.

At least I don't think so... The filter on the fish tank died at 11 o'clock tonight. No way to replace it at this hour. Hundreds of dollars worth of fish with lives in the balance. I have time to go get a filter tomorrow morning assuming there are fish to save, but I don't have time to set it up. I will have to be very very late. Then there is the cycling of a filter. If I can't reuse enough of the components with good bacteria living on them the tank good essentially become a deathtrap as the biological filtration chemistry starts over. The last time we got a new filter I think we did 50 percent water changes (40 gallons) every hour for a full day to keep the water livable... It was awful and so many fish died. The water becomes poisonous and they suffocate. They try to jump out before they die.
And I get to deal with potentially any combination of the above possibilities tomorrow before work. Joy.

I read an interesting post today. It involved sexuality, gender roles, and posed a question. Straight or gay, to me, the basic question is about sexual attraction. Are you attracted to masculinity/femininity or do you just need the right parts? Although of course it can go deeper than that. Sexuality can be very complex.
Sure it's not at all work safe. In fact, you may be either offended or even grossed out if you click through... But I invite you to check it out. Then tell us anonymously: Do you pick A or B? I will provide a choice C, but you'll have to justify it in comments.. I'll leave my answer after the jump.
For me, well... this was not so tough. (But then I imagined meeting these two in a bar, fully clothed, because that is more likely than seeing them all naked with their genitals all akimbo...) I like a manly man. A man that looks and smells and feels like a man. To me that's the whole point. That's what rev's my engine long before we even get to the plumbing involved. So I think that I would have more to stimulate me with choice A. How far that stimulation would go is another story... I mean proper tools are gonna be needed at some point, I would think... ;)
