I Am Vampire! *Suck*

This is a crosspost from ...was i there?

Dude. What is up with the spam comments lately? It's not even bots (of course, thanks to EE), but like real people writing fake comments with bogus links to commercial crappery. Ugh.

Anyhoo, how's your day? Mine was bad. I have had a bad 3 days actually. My head is just not in "the game" as they say. Probably because it's all up in some other game. Vampires Live for iPhone to be exact. That thing is the most addictive thing I have experienced to date. And I am unanimous in that. Worse than cigarettes, booze, and porn. I swear I get anxiety if I don't check in regularly. I get violent if I get interrupted too, like by stupid work matters and such. It's crazy addictive.

Basically a standard boring RPG like D&D only without dice. Not that I know for sure, as I have never played D&D. I am working on assumption here. It's basically a chance and numbers thing combined with strategy and a fun theme. Vampires. As we all know, vampires are like totally hot right now. So yeah. The game makers are genius too. This super addictive crack-like gambling game lets you PAY CASH MONEY to advance by buying more blood (since blood is totally currency in Vampires Live land!). I have been bitten by that 4.99 bug twice (OCD). Ouch. I hope I can still afford a car wash tomorrow!

So yeah, this game is sucking the vida right out of me mijos! Really! I feel like a zombie from staring into the tiny screen, but alas, I cannot stop. I need a vampire intervention. Where's Edward when I need him?

High School Play

This is a crosspost from ...was i there?

Last night I went to see my friend's daughter in a play at her school. I hadn't set foot on a high school campus since graduation. I can safely say that high school was the worst time of my life. I hated it. The kids were cruel. It made me ill with stress every day to go to school.

That said, I cannot express how proud I am of this young lady to stand on a high school stage in front of her peers and perform. Perform WELL even. When I was her age I dreaded walking down a hallway with my peers, let alone stand up in front of them.

I just wanted to put that out there. Great job yo! I wish I had had an ounce of your confidence when I was your age.

Cinco de Drinko

Dude. I have to say, I really think Cinco de Mayo is becoming one of my favorite holidays. First, there is booze. Gotta love a holiday that encourages that. (Wait, don't ALL holidays include booze? Or is that just my family?) Secondly, the food. I love nothing more than Mexican food. Really, given the choice I always choose Mexican. Finally, my third reason. This is a new discovery for me. It is like *no problem* to get time off work! Amazing! I mean, I work retail. So it is literally ALWAYS a bad time to take time off. But the past 2 years I have scored for Cinco de Mayo. This year I was off May 4, 5, and 6. Awesomeness! And I think if I remember to request it, I could have the entire week next year! This is like a total hidden gem for me. You have no idea. I am going to discuss this with my man and get to planning next year. We could take a week, go on a cruise or something.... have a party... who knows!

Oh and speaking of Cinco de Mayo, mine was absolutely fab. The weather was amazing. We drove around all day (with the top down) hunting for a mystical item called a "Taco Proper". We eventually found them after seeing more of Chula Vista than I ever had intended... Oy! Later, Joelle and Mike came over for some patio time. We had tacos, ceviche, salsa, and margaritas till the sun went down. Then we enjoyed Mexican pasteries. Perfect way to finish the day.

Oh, and I made the ceviche! Shocker I know... Did you know that the fish up in there isn't cooked? Well it kinda is.. but not with heat. You soak it in lime juice overnight. That is what "cooks" it! What? Not surprised? I was amazed! It was sooo good too. Kudos me.
